Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
1.1. The Terrier Cyber Quest 2024 - Territorial Army Cyber Challenge ("Cyber Challenge") is organised by the Territorial Army in collaboration with various Civil and Defence industry partners.
1.2. By participating in this Cyber Challenge, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. Non-compliance may result in disqualification.
2. Eligibility Criteria
2.1. Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old on the date of registration.
2.2.Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to participate in the Cyber Challenge.
2.3.Educational Background:
■ Students, researchers, and professionals from academic institutions, defence organisations, and industries are eligible to participate.
■ Participants must have a background in relevant fields such as engineering, computer science, data science, cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
2.4. Team Formation:
■ Participants may register individually or as part of a team.
■ Teams may consist of up to three members. All team members must meet the eligibility criteria.
■ Each participant can only be a member of one team.

■ Participants may register individually or as part of a team.

3. Registration Process
3.1. Registration Period:
■ Registration begins on september 5th, 2024, and ends on September 20th, 2024.

■ Late registrations will not be accepted.
3.2. Registration Requirements:
■ Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
■ Teams must submit a Proof of Concept (PoC) video and a PowerPoint presentation (PPT) detailing their project/solution. (Wherever required).
■ Participants must agree to these Terms and Conditions and consent to data usage before completing the registration.
3.3. Verification:
■ Organisers reserve the right to verify the identity and eligibility of participants.
■ Providing false or misleading information during registration may result in disqualification.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1. Ownership:
■ Participants retain ownership of the intellectual property (IP) rights for their submissions. However, by participating, they grant the organisers a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display their submissions for promotional purposes.
4.2. Originality:
■ All submissions must be original and not infringe upon the IP rights of any third party.
■ Plagiarism or submission of pre-existing work will result in disqualification.
5. Code of Conduct
5.1. Professionalism:
■ Participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and professionalism throughout the Cyber Challenge.
5.2. Collaboration:
■ Collaboration between team members is encouraged; however, collaboration between teams is not allowed unless explicitly permitted by the organisers.
5.3. Prohibited Conduct

Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behaviour towards fellow participants, organisers, or judges will not be tolerated and may result in immediate disqualification.
6. Judging Criteria
6.1. Criteria:
■ Submissions will be judged based on innovation, feasibility, scalability, impact, and presentation.

■ Specific judging criteria will be provided for each track.
6.2. Judges:
■ A panel of experts from the defence, civil society, academia, and industry sectors will evaluate the submissions.
6.3. Final Decision:
■ The judges' decisions are final and binding.
7. Prizes
7.1. Awards:
■ Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each track. The awards include cash prizes and special recognition from the Raksha Mantri.
7.2. Taxes:
■ Prize winners are responsible for any taxes or levies associated with the receipt of prizes.
8. Confidentiality
8.1. Sensitive Information:
■ Participants are prohibited from sharing any confidential or sensitive information related to the Indian Army or other defence entities during the Cyber Challenge.
8.2. Data Handling:
■ Participants must adhere to best practices for data protection and confidentiality.
9. Disqualification Rules
9.1. Reasons For Disqualification:
■ False Information: Providing false information during registration or during the Hackathon will result in disqualification.

■ Plagiarism: Submissions found to be plagiarised or not original will be disqualified.

■ Violation of Terms: Any violation of the Terms and Conditions, including the Code of Conduct, will lead to disqualification.

■ Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with the submission deadlines or any other Hackathon rules will result in disqualification.

■ External Assistance: Seeking or accepting assistance from non-participants or external sources without prior approval will lead to disqualification.
9.2. Notification:
■ Participants who are disqualified will be notified by the organisers.
■ Disqualified participants or teams will forfeit any prizes or recognition.
10. Amendments and Cancellations
10.1. Amendments:
■ The organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes.
10.2. Cancellations:
■ The organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Cyber Challenge in case of unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be informed promptly.
11. Liability
11.1. Indemenity:
■ Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the Cyber Challenge.
11.2. Responsibility:
■ The organisers are not responsible for any technical issues, including but not limited to submission failures, internet connectivity problems, or system malfunctions.
12.Governing Law
12.1. Jurisdiction:
■ These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from the Cyber Challenge will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi.
Agreement
By registering for the Terrier Cyber Quest - National Territorial Army Cyber Challenge 2024, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions, Eligibility Criteria, and Rules of Disqualification.
